Terms of service

The terms for using Aviation Inventory

Effective October 23, 2026

The short version

  • Your shop’s records belong to you. We host and process them only to run the service.
  • Try it free for 14 days with no card. Then it renews monthly or yearly until you cancel.
  • AI label reads can be wrong. Check every part number, serial and certificate before you rely on it.
  • The service organizes records. Airworthiness decisions and FAA/EASA record-keeping stay with you.
  • Checks and suggestions in the app (shelf life, calibration, prices, reorder quantities, reports) are aids. You stay responsible for what goes on an aircraft.
  • You set who can approve, issue parts or see costs, and you’re responsible for those choices.
  • If you list parts on eBay, you are responsible for what you list and for eBay’s rules, including its rules on aircraft parts.
  • Scrapping a part is final. It is kept as a record, and a scrapped part can’t be sold, issued or installed.
  • Orders and quotes the service emails go out in your shop’s name. You are responsible for the addresses you enter and for what you send.
  • A warning about a vendor’s approval is advice. The service doesn’t check any certificate with whoever issued it.
  • You can have your records at any time: ask support and we switch on your data export, usually within 5 business days.
  • Florida law applies.

The full terms below are what count.

01Agreement

These terms are an agreement between Aviation Inventory (“we”, “us”) and the organization that signs up (“you”). By creating an account or using the web app, the phone app or this website (the “service”), you agree to them. If you sign up for a company, you confirm you can agree on its behalf.

02Accounts

Keep your account details accurate and your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your organization's accounts, including the people your admins invite and the roles they give them: your admins decide who can approve work, issue or delete stock, and see costs, so choose roles with care. If you turn on two-factor sign-in, keep your backup codes safe; if you lose both your phone and your codes we may need to verify who you are before access is restored. Tell us promptly at support@zebradev.cloud if you think an account has been misused.

03Trial, plans and billing

New organizations get a 14-day free trial on the Starter plan, with no card required. To keep using the service after that, choose a paid plan. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment processor, and renew automatically until cancelled.

Each plan has limits, such as parts, users and AI label reads per month, shown on the pricing page. You can cancel at any time, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund partial periods unless the law requires it.

We'll give at least 30 days' notice before a price change applies to you. Taxes are extra where they apply. Enterprise features such as an uptime commitment or on-premise deployment are covered by a separate written agreement.

04Your data

You own the records you put into the service. You give us permission to host, copy, process and display them only as needed to run the service for you, including sending label photos to the services listed in our Privacy policy.

You're responsible for having the right to put that data in the service. The Privacy policy explains how you can get a copy of it or have it deleted.

Getting your records out. You can have a copy of your records at any time. An admin asks support, and we switch on a data export for your organization's admins, usually within 5 business days. It stays on for a limited time, and they download everything as CSV files or an Excel workbook from Admin > Export my data. Uploaded scans and PDFs are not part of that download. We may ask the requester to show they are an admin of your organization.

Email sent for you. When you email an order, quotation or other document from the service, it goes out in your shop's name, and replies come back to the service: a vendor's reply to an order is kept with that order and copied to the person who placed it. You are responsible for the addresses you enter, for what you send, and for having the right to contact those people.

The service keeps an activity log of changes made in your organization (who did what, and when) so you can show it. Entries can't be edited or deleted by users, and they are part of your records. Features that share information between shops, such as price sharing, are off unless your admin turns them on.

If you sell parts to a customer who is also a linked shop on the service, you can choose to send that shop the details of what you shipped: part number, serial number, condition, release document type and number, life status of a life-limited part, the price you charged, and the order's freight, handling and tax. We never share your own costs, margins, notes or other customers. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send it, and you can recall it until the other shop starts receiving the parts. Once the other shop has added a part to its inventory, the details it received become part of its records. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you send.

If the customer is not a linked shop, you can still send: we compare the customer's email address with the shops on the service. If it belongs to exactly one shop, that shop is shown only your company name and the order number and is asked to accept; nothing else is shared unless it does. You are not told whether a shop matched or whether a request was declined.

Each part you send carries its chain of custody: who held it, when it came in and went out, and the release documents that went with it. You can withhold the names of earlier holders. What an earlier holder stated is passed on as stated; it is not verified by us.

05AI label reading and aviation records

The service can read part numbers, serial numbers and other details from photos, and can fill in descriptions from a shared parts database. These reads and suggestions can be wrong: a misread character, a superseded part number, or a part that doesn't fit your aircraft. Before relying on any of it, check it against the part, its paperwork, and the aircraft's illustrated parts catalog or the manufacturer's data.

The same goes for the checks, calculations and suggestions the service makes: whether stock is held or fit to issue, a shelf life or calibration that has run out, suggested prices and order quantities, ABC classes, and the compliance, vendor approval, vendor, usage and cost reports. A warning about a vendor (marked not approved, or a certificate that has expired or is about to) is advice only: the service doesn't check a certificate with whoever issued it, it never stops you placing an order, and the decision to buy from a vendor is yours. They are built from your records and are only as complete as those records are. Use them to help you decide, not in place of your own judgement and your quality system. When you flag a suspected unapproved part, the service holds it and keeps your records; deciding whether it is unapproved, and reporting it to the FAA or another authority, is your responsibility.

The service helps you organize records. It doesn't decide whether a part or aircraft is airworthy, and it doesn't replace the inspections, maintenance records or approvals required of you under 14 CFR (including Parts 43, 91 and 145), EASA rules or any other authority. Those responsibilities stay with you and your certificated staff.

06Acceptable use

Don't use the service to:

  • break the law, or misrepresent a part's identity, history or approval status;
  • get into accounts or data that aren't yours;
  • overload, probe or disrupt the service, or copy or reverse-engineer it;
  • resell the service, or share logins to get around your plan's user limit.

07Other services

Some features connect to other companies' services, such as accounting software you connect, eBay if you connect it, our payment processor, our email provider and push notification services. Your use of those is also covered by their own terms, and we're not responsible for them.

08Listing parts on eBay

If your admin connects your eBay account, people with sales access can list parts on eBay from the service. Nothing is listed unless a person presses List on eBay, and the person sets the title, description, condition, quantity and price. You are responsible for the accuracy of every listing, including condition, serial number, release paperwork and price, for having the right to sell the part, and for following eBay's own terms and its rules on aircraft parts. We don't check listings or guarantee that eBay will accept, show or keep them. The listing is a contract between you, eBay and the buyer.

09Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running, but we don't guarantee it will always be available or free of errors, unless a separate written agreement says so. We may improve or change features. If we remove something significant that you pay for, we'll tell you in advance.

10Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account for unpaid fees or a serious breach of these terms. Where it's reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it. After an account closes, you can ask for an export of your records, and we delete them as described in the Privacy policy.

11Disclaimers

Apart from what these terms say, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of AI reads, suggestions and reports, to the extent the law allows.

12Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or aircraft downtime. Our total liability under these terms is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

13Indemnity

If a third party makes a claim against us because of the data you put into the service or your breach of these terms, you'll cover our reasonable costs of that claim.

14Governing law

Florida law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Florida.

15Changes to these terms

If we make a significant change, we'll tell account admins at least 30 days before it takes effect and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
